Eric Noel has over 20 years of experience as a professional horseman. His training philosophy is centered around the idea of correct equitation as the foundation that enables quiet, effective communication with the horse.

Training
"I believe that it is extremely important to develop clear communication with your horse. Training is simply establishing that line of communication and obtaining the willing cooperation of your equine partner. To communicate effectively means to be consistent in your attempts to elicit your horse’s response, to reward him when he reacts accordingly, and to avoid confusing him with unnecessary verbal and nonverbal stimulus."

Equitation
"Equitation is not just the act of posing or looking good while on the back of a horse. Good equitation provides the secure foundation from which we can effectively communicate with our horses while interfering as little as possible with their balance and ability to do what we ask of them."

Goals
"Success has been defined as the progressive realization of a worthwhile goal. In order to be successful with your horse you must establish specific goals and be constantly progressing towards them.

Your goals do not have to involve competition. For your horse be a conditioned, responsive partner on the trails may be as important a goal for you as a berth on the Olympic Team is to somebody else. My job, as your trainer, is to help you progress toward YOUR goals.
